Wishing Fountain

Wendy: Sarah, you can throw a coin into the water and make a wish.

Sarah: What is a wish?

Wendy: A wish is something that you want.

Sarah (throwing coin): I wish to throw a coin into the water!!

West Side Market

The West Side Market it this great place in Cleveland to get all kinds of fresh and ethnic foods at good prices. It just celebrated its 100th year in 2012. Uncle Bo and Aunt Wendy thought the kids would enjoy a trip there and they were right.

Not Really

Aunt Wendy: Sarah you are so cute I am gonna eat you up!

Sarah: (Eyes get wide, runs into other room)

Aunt Wendy: Sarah I'm only kidding!

Words

Stephen's recent new words: Juice, more, thank you, jugo, Eddie.

Plus, now he has very clearly enunciated "down" a couple of times, instead of "dah" as before.

Stephen's all-time favorite word: Sarah (pronounced SAH... wah)

Sarah: Stephen loves me!

Papa: Yes, he does!

Five Pieces of Cheese

When Uncle Bo was little, he used to ask Grandma for pieces of cheese.

Bo: Can I have five pieces of cheese, please?

(Grandma cuts one slice of cheese into five smaller pieces, gives them to Bo, who takes them and goes merrily on his way.)

See also Sarah's Two Cookies.

Two Cookies

Papa cuts a cookie in half and gives one half of it to Sarah.

Sarah: I want two cookies!

Papa takes the half-cookie back, cuts it into half again, and gives the pieces back to Sarah.

Sarah (satisfied): After I eat this, I can have more?

(This reminds us of the famous story of Uncle Bo and the Five Pieces of Cheese.)

Helping Uncle Bo

Sarah: Uncle Bo, if you want help to go peepeepoopoo call me and I'll help you.

Uncle Bo (laughing): Thank you Sarah!
